Watches

The market for wristwatches, in particular those from the mid 20th century by the best names such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Brietling, Omega etc., continues to grow apace. Condition, service history and paperwork will add extra value.

Marc Burridge is our watch aficionado and enjoys very few things more than discussing watches. He is always delighted to share his considerable knowledge and to offer expert advice. This is an area with many fakes, forgeries and surprises, so its always worth having your watches checked out.

Recent highlights include a Rolex Gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner stainless steel bracelet watch, 1991, which sold for £6000; A favre-Leuba 1970s lady's 18ct gold watch, which achieved £2,600; and an Omega Gentleman's chronometer officially certified 18ct gold mechanical wristwatch, selling for £1,200.

Our valuer and auctioneer Henry Michallat has taken a keen interest in watches, learning from Marc's years of experience, and is available to answer any of your watch-related enquiries: hm@clevedonsalerooms.com
