Rare Victorian Scottish Police Constabulary truncheon with concealed dagger, the turned head inlaid in lead with a crown stamped with initials 'J. Mc. D.' over a ring stamped 'Police Constabulary' framing cursive VR cypher, a further unmarked band encircling the shaft, to a ring-turned wooden grip, which when pulled reveals an unmarked 10cm blade with brass socket, 22.5cm long
A similar Scottish example with concealed blade sold Reeman Dansie, Essex, 10th March 2020, lot 792.
