From individual bottles to cellars, we are always happy to advise and value collections. The market for vintage Bordeaux, Champagne, Vintage Port, aged single-malt whisky and even associated collectables is stronger than a decade ago, thanks again to the internet. We have a number of France-based expats who regularly buy from us, as well as UK-based collectors stocking up their cellars.
Recent highlights include four bottles of Andre Romonet Bâtard-Montrachet, 1978, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, which sold for a staggering £5,800. In red wine, we recently sold three bottles of Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Ermitage 'Cuvée Cathelin' Hermitage, Rhône, two from 1998 and one from 2000, which sold for £3000 twice and £2,800 each. In whiskey, a recent triumph was the sale of The Macallan 25 Years Old Anniversary Malt, which achieved £3,200 on the hammer.
