18th century flintlock blunderbuss signed sale, 17.5" brass barrel with a gun-makers mark 'T.R.' (Thomas Richards) and a proof mark of crown over V (1740), the muzzle is ringed with an inner diameter of 1.2", flat replacement lock signed 'E. Sale', full stocked with losses to either side of the fore-end, raised moulding of a shell behind the barrel tang and blank brass escutcheons, fine foliate brass mounts, ram-rod missing and action a/f, 33" long overall
