Napoleonic prisoner-of-war work bone 'spinning jenny' automaton in a bottle

Fine and rare Napoleonic prisoner-of-war work bone 'spinning jenny' mechanical automaton in a bottle, circa 1800, the hand-blown clear glass cylindrical bottle containing a wooden platform supporting a carved bone 'Jenny' cranking a large twin-wheeled eight-spoke yarn winder with red and green threads, and further horizontally-mounted crown wheel above, with stylized cotton plants behind, with two attendant female figures, the whole (all wheels) operating simultaneously via turning of the female figure 'prow' finial to the cork stopper, 24.5cm high overall

Whilst many bone models of this type exist, those in bottles are exceedingly rare. A similar example, lacking finial, sold Charles Miller, London, 10th May 2016, lot 104.
