Late Victorian diamond and sapphire necklace
Late Victorian diamond and sapphire necklace, alternate set with graduated silver collet set old brilliant cut diamonds and twenty faceted, mixed-cut sapphires, and interspersed with small rose and mixed cut diamonds, the twenty old brilliant cut diamonds totalling approximately 8.3 carats, 43cm long, 39g gross approx, with a Gem and Pearl Laboratory report #20225, dated 23rd July 2021, stating the sapphires to be natural with no evidence of heat treatment observed.

Highlights include a sapphire and diamond necklace at £12,000-18,000 and - in a first for the auctioneers - an original oil painting by the renowned French Impressionist, Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The study of two roses was last sold over twenty years ago in London and has accompanying confirmation from the Wildenstein Institute verifying it as a genuine Renoir.
