Unusual mid 19th Century English engraved gilt brass single-fusee carriage clock, circa 1840, having a silvered 2-inch arched Roman dial with engraved scroll edging and foliate surround, the engraved rear door enclosing Royal Arms 'Patent' plaque, chain fusee timepiece movement with early escapement marked 'Slow' and 'Fast to the bow-breakfront rear platform edge, blued screw and engraved internal floor, case with engraved sides and base, 12.5cm high excluding associated handle
