Shirley Pond - Oil on board - 'Crete' signed and dated (19) 67, 89.5cm x 59cm, framed
Shirley arrived at the Royal Academy of Art on 8th December 1953, having previously studied at Kingston School of Art under Reginald Brill. While there she was awarded the David Murray Grant (£60) and the Landseer Prize (£25 and a silver medal) for her work on a scheme for the decoration of the Schools Canteen (now sadly lost). She also received a David Murray grant in 1956 and her leaving certificate was dated March 1958.

Our regular Interiors auction is an eclectic sale featuring a great range of items. The sale will include jewellery & watches, silver, coins, stamps & ephemera, clocks, ceramics & glass, paintings, and of course furniture and other decorative items.
Valuation & consignment days will be on Monday 2nd October, Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th October, between 10am-1pm and 2-5pm.
