Burma Medal and Burma Star medal awarded to CPL R H Smallwood and Kukri
Burma Medal and Burma Star medal awarded to CPL R H Smallwood, 1232026, together with a Kukri knife with floral engraved band running down the blade and with horn handle, with five small accompanying knives, all in a fitted leather sheath. Knife length circa 44cm
Kukri was awarded to Smallwood by the Gurkha regiment he was attached to during his time in Burma. He was involved in the 1943 Operation Longcloth and the 1944 Operation Thursday.
