Mark joined Clevedon Salerooms in April 2018, following twenty years of antiques experience at three auction houses in the Midlands and North West, including Bonhams in Chester. A notable highlight of his career was cataloguing and selling a £200,000 specialist collection of Derbyshire Blue John during his time in Birmingham.
Arriving at Clevedon Salerooms as a Valuer, Mark became a Senior Valuer in 2019 and was again promoted to the Board of Directors in 2021. Mark specialises in fine art, clocks, Asian art, jewellery, and has a wide variance of expertise in many other categories.
Mark regularly undertakes probate valuation work on behalf of our many partner solicitors, as well as other home visits and collections, notably Country House sales such as contents of Barrow Court and Gatcombe Court respectively. Since becoming Director, we have been delighted to see a 50% growth in turnover within the business.
Mark divides his time between management, valuing, cataloguing and auctioneering for all of our sales. As Director, he advises on big decisions and the forward-thinking changes that contribute to our continued growth.
