Tweeet of the Day - Birds of a Feather

Looks what has just flown in to Clevedon Salerooms – a highly collectable glass ‘Pulcino’ bird, designed in 1962 by Alessandro Pianon and made by Italian firm Vitossi.

This outstanding piece of Modernist studio glass arrives hot on the heels (or should that be claws) of another Pulcino bird sold at Clevedon’s last Quarterly sale in March, which had been brought to one of their regular Valuation days held in Bristol. That particular bird went on to fly past its estimate to sell for £3,600. This little chap, which has also been consigned by a Bristol vendor, is in a very bright shade of orange and arrives in pristine condition from beak to toe.

It will be offered in Clevedon Salerooms Summer Fine Art Sale on June 9th with a pre-sale estimate of £3,000-4000.
