After Louis Betti, bronze figure of Phryne

After Louis Betti - Early 20th Century bronze figure of Phryne, a naked female figure concealing her face in the crook of her elbow, signed L. BETTI to edge, on stepped marble plinth base, 12cm high overall

Phryne was prevously also modelled by Pradier and Falguiere. In the early 20th Century both Betti and Charles Sykes produced versions of this figure, the latter as a car mascot 'Spirit of Serenity'.
