Henri Fugère (French, 1872-1944) - Large cast bronze figure of 'Diane' (Diana the Huntress), modelled in standing pose, having fired her bow, wearing a headband and loincloth, the naturalistic mound base with quiver of arrows, signed in the cast 'H. Fugère', named 'Diane' to fore edge, on verde antico marble plinth, 81cm high overall, with contemporaneous but associated marble-topped, gilt metal-mounted amboyna and ebonised pedestal on tapering square section, with inlaid dentil-effect cornice, cast swags and urns, over a circular plaque relief-cast with semi-naked maiden, between Ionic pilasters on spreading base, 113cm high, the two 194cm high (2)
