Chinese Canton Famille Rose porcelain vase, late Qing dynasty, late 19th century, of Haitangzun (Begonia) form with lobed rim (a/f) over waisted neck decorated with two panels of figures in peach shaped reserves between applied gilt temple dogs, the bulging body with fans, butterflies, dragons, endless knots, and eight assorted larger gourd shaped panels formed as clouds, cartouches, gourds etc., and two pairs of gilt salamanders, unmarked, 43cm high
