Powell (1865-1960) for Wedgwood - Charger, earthenware, painted and gilded in pink lustre with a lion sitting atop a wall amidst scrolling and fruiting foliage on a cobalt blue ground, the rim painted with with stylised oak leaves on white and pink lustre striped ground, the reverse with painted monogram, painted monogram for Alfred Powell, '754' and 'Hampstead Oct 1914', impressed Wedgwood mark, and applied printed paper label stating 'No. 367 in the catalogue of C H St J Hornby', 55.5cm diameter
