Throughout 2025, Clevedon Salerooms has hosted a small number of carefully curated events, offering clients opportunities to engage with auctions, artworks and specialist collections in a range of settings.
Alongside the auction programme, these events have provided a way to bring clients together, showcase significant material and work in partnership with cultural venues across Bristol.
Celebrating Bristol’s artistic heritage
One of the highlights of the year was Barrington Tabb: Celebrating the Man Behind the Brush, a private exhibition and tribute to one of Bristol’s most recognisable painters. Held at All Saints Church, Clifton, the event brought together guests to reflect on Tabb’s life, work and enduring connection to the city.
The exhibition was followed by a dedicated auction of works from the artist’s studio at Clevedon Salerooms, marking an important moment in recognising his legacy and sharing his work with collectors and admirers alike.
Private previews and partnerships
Later in the year, Clevedon Salerooms hosted A Christmas Social at Bristol 1904 Arts, held at the historic Red Lodge on Park Row. The evening offered an informal opportunity for clients to enjoy the venue, meet members of the team and preview 40 Winks – An Eye for Design, featuring pieces from the collection of David Carter ahead of their inclusion in the Winter Specialist Sale.
Events such as this reflect Clevedon Salerooms’ ongoing partnerships with local cultural organisations and venues, creating relaxed and welcoming settings in which clients can engage with specialist material.
